These terms govern your use of the Stash app and related services ("Stash"), provided by Jess Kirsch ("we", "us"). By downloading or using Stash, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use Stash.
1. What Stash does
Stash connects to email accounts you authorize, identifies emails that appear to be receipts, and saves them as files in a folder you choose. Stash is currently offered as a beta, and features may change.
2. Your accounts and responsibilities
- You may connect only email accounts that you own or are authorized to access.
- You are responsible for keeping your computer, email accounts and app passwords secure.
- You are responsible for the folder you choose and for any cloud service that syncs it.
- You agree not to misuse Stash, including by interfering with its services, attempting to access them in unauthorized ways, or using the Smart reading service beyond normal personal or business use.
3. Accuracy of receipts
Stash identifies receipts and reads merchants, dates and amounts automatically, and it may miss receipts, include emails that are not receipts, or read details incorrectly. Stash is an organizational tool, not an accounting, tax or legal service. Always keep the original records required by your tax authority or employer, and check important amounts against the originals.
4. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how Stash handles your information, including information received from Google and Microsoft accounts.
5. Third-party services
Stash works with services provided by others, such as Google, Microsoft, your email provider and your cloud storage provider. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
6. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Stash on computers you own or control. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or reverse engineer Stash except as permitted by law. Stash and its name, logo and design are owned by us.
7. Changes and termination
We may update Stash or these terms. If we make material changes to the terms, we will update the effective date and let you know in the app. You can stop using Stash at any time by removing your accounts and uninstalling it. We may suspend access to the Smart reading service if it is misused.
8. Disclaimer
Stash is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't warrant that Stash will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will find every receipt.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or revenue, arising from your use of Stash. Our total liability for any claim relating to Stash is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Stash in the 12 months before the claim, or US $50. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
